View Once Messages On WhatsApp To Get A New Security Feature

World’s most popular messaging app WhatsApp is about to get even more secured. Meta made it clear to make their number one messaging app as secured as possible. Some weeks ago, WhatsApp released a security feature that allows a user to send an image that can only be viewed ones by the other user. Rumors reaching us has it that, WhatsApp is about to make this feature even more secured with an upcoming update.

New Whatsapp Features To Expect

There are couple of new privacy and security features coming with the latest WhatsApp update. First, there is a feature that allows you to sneak out of a WhatsApp group without other members of the group knowing. But there is a catch here though, the administrator of the group will receive an alert that you opted out of the group.

The other feature is something that many have wanted secretly. Not everyone would like to hide their presence on WhatsApp. Some prefer to hide their ‘last seen’ but others don’t, some also prefer to hide their read messages (blue ticks) but others don’t. With this new upcoming feature, it will definitely be useful to everyone. This new feature will allow users to decide who to see them when they are online. So as a user, you can decide to allow all your contacts to see you when you are online. Or few selected contacts to see you when you are online. As a matter of fact, you can deicide not to allow anyone at all see you when you are online. Like I stated earlier, this particular one will be useful to all users.

Finally the main highlight of this article. When Meta rolled out a WhatsApp update that allows users to send photos and videos that could only be viewed ones, every user welcomed it since it was very necessary for sharing security related images and videos. But this feature had a very big flaw that was enough to nullify its importance. The challenge faced by this feature is that, users could take a screenshot of a ‘view ones’ images or videos sent to them.

How Can Whatsapp Solve This Issue?

To block this loophole, WhatsApp team has decided to roll out a major update. This update could prevent users from taking screenshots of a ‘view ones’ image or video. WhatsApp is yet to set the release date for this feature. But what we can confirm is that, work is almost completed on this update.
