Previous rumors were suggesting that OnePlus fully enter the “Ultra” trend with the OnePlus 10 Ultra. However, it seems that the company will not join Samsung, Xiaomi, and Motorola in this growing trend. Apparently, OnePlus is sticking with its traditions and will launch a OnePlus 10T later this year. Last year, we hadn’t a OnePlus 9T with improved specs, just a OnePlus 9RT. This year, we just have a OnePlus 10 Pro and a 10R. Despite the lack of a Vanilla smartphone, the T-series will be back with the OnePlus 10T. The device will pack a stronger chipset inside, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. That’s right, unlike previous rumors suggesting a MediaTek chip, it will have Qualcomm’s newer flagship SoC.
OnePlus 10T alleged specifications
As per the reliable tipster Digital Chat Station, the upcoming OnePlus 10T will pack a 6.67-inch OLED screen with a Full HD+ resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate. Interestingly, this panel is present on the OnePlus 10R and OnePlus Ace. The phone will have a punch-hole at the top center that will serve as a home for a 16 MP selfie snapper. Moving around to the back, the phone will pack a triple-camera setup. However, it’s not a really impressive setup with advanced telephoto or periscope shooters. Instead, it will have a primary 50 MP main camera with an f/1.8 aperture and a 1/1.5″ sensor. There is also an 8 MP ultrawide shooter and a 2 MP depth snapper.
The phone will also bring some of the impressive specs brought by the OnePlus 10R, Ace, and also Realme GT Neo 3. Apparently, the handset will support 150 W charging. It will charge a 4,800 mAh battery which already indicates that OnePlus managed to pair this impressive charging with a battery bigger than 4,500 mAh.
Of course, you’ll need to digest this news with a pinch or two of salt. After all, there are still several months to come before the release of the OnePlus 10T. If the company decides to stick with its traditional formula, then we’ll see a release towards October. The device already had renders revealed confirming a design language that resembles the 10 Pro.
