The Xiaomi Mi 11, Mi 11 Ultra and Mi 11 Lite 5G are all officially on sale in the UK. While the Mi 11 went on sale in April, the UK release dates for the other two handsets remained elusive. Here, we’re tracking where to buy the Xiaomi Mi 11 phones in the UK and the best deals around – on contract and SIM-free. 

If you’re not already familiar, the Mi 11 is the first handset in the world to boast the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset, which promises dramatic leaps in 5G, AI, gaming, and photography. Xiaomi has started “Round 2” of its Back to School Sale which includes £150 off the Mi 11 until 19 September. The offer outdoes it Summer Sale discount (which ended on 22 August), when it had £100 off the device but bundled a free Redmi 9A phone or Mi Watch Lite. You can, however, still get a free Mi Watch Lite bundled with the handset as a part of Xiaomi’s Back to School sale. We’re taking a closer look at Xiaomi’s sale in this article.

Over at Laptops Direct, there’s £150 off the 256GB Xiaomi Mi 11. This drops the price to an attractive £693. Meanwhile Mobile Phones Direct is bundling a free Nintendo Switch with the Mi Lite.

Mi 11 – Get up to £150 off with free Mi Watch Lite

Xiaomi’s current Back to School Sale slashes an incredible £150 off the 128GB option and includes a free Mi Watch Lite budget smartwatch (worth £56). If you prefer greater storage, there’s also £100 off the 256GB variant though no additional wearable. 

Laptops Direct has an even better price on the 256GB option with £150 off!

Amazon narrowly beats Xiaomi’s discount on the 256GB Mi 11 by slashing off £105 instead.

Mi 11 Lite – up to £70 off

The Mi 11 Lite is available to buy with £70 off from Xiaomi and includes a free Mi True Wireless Earbuds Basic 2 worth £17.

The Mi 11 Lite, with a 6.55in 90Hz AMOLED display, is available with 4G or 5G connectivity. The 4G option will offer the Snapdragon 732G, while the 5G option offers the Snapdragon 780G.

As for cameras, the Mi 11 Lite packs a 64Mp main sensor, along with an 8Mp ultrawide and a 5Mp ‘telemacro’. The phone also supports 33W fast charging on a 4250mAh battery.

The Mi 11 Ultra SIM-free is available from Xiaomi, though there aren’t any discounts available at the moment.

The Xiaomi Mi 11 is available from Three and Vodafone.

Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra on contract – (Vodafone only)

We can’t see any contract deals available on the Mi 11 Ultra.

Vodafone was the only network offering the Mi 11 Ultra with plans but it’s currently out of stock.

About the Mi 11 range – Which phones can I buy in the UK?

The full range includes five phones: The Mi 11, 11 Pro, 11 Ultra, 11 Lite and 11i. While the UK gets the Mi 11, 11 Ultra, and 11 Lite (5G), the rest of Europe gets an additional 4G Mi 11 Lite and the Mi 11i. Availability breaks down like this:

The Mi 11 offers a 6.81in AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 2K (3200×1440) resolution – a first for Xiaomi. Other features include a 4600mAh battery suited to 55W fast charging and 50W wireless charging and a 108Mp main camera. Both the Ultra and Pro will offer the Snapdragon 888 processor and up to 12GB RAM. Like the Mi 11, you can expect 2K quad-curved 120Hz AMOLED panels on both phones, but a larger 5000mAh battery (compared to the Mi 11’s 4600mAh) that supports wired and wireless fast charging at 67W.

The Mi 11 Pro will also offer a 50Mp main camera, 13Mp ultrawide, and an 8Mp ‘telemacro’ lens with OIS. The 11 Ultra will offer a 48Mp main camera, and most notably, a mini display on the rear camera module that doubles as a viewfinder, so that the main camera can be used for selfies.

How much does the Xiaomi Mi 11 cost?

The Mi 11 phones are available at various price points depending on the model you’re after:

Xiaomi Mi 11 prices

UK and European pricing on the standard Mi 11 are as follows:

• 8GB RAM/128GB storage – £749/€749
• 8GB RAM/256GB storage – £799/€799

There’s also a 12GB RAM/256GB option that’s available in China, but that won’t be arriving in Europe. Unlike the iPhone 12 and new Samsung Galaxy S21 phones, the Xiaomi Mi 11 will ship with a charger.

Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra prices

The Mi 11 Ultra is available to buy in the UK as of 6 May. Xiaomi is only displaying availability for the 12GB RAM with 256GB storage option in black for £1,199.

We expected to see an option with 8GB RAM/256GB storage for around £660/€775/$915 based on the ¥5999 Chinese pricing, but that doesn’t look available.

Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G prices

Like the Mi 11 Ultra, the Mi 11 Lite is only available in one configuration: 8GB RAM + 128GB storage for £399. An early-bird discount drops the price to £369 (£30 off)

We also expected a 6GB RAM + 128GB storage option, but that looks like it’s for Europe only at €369.

Mi 11i prices (Europe only)

The Mi 11i appears to be exclusive to Europe for now with prices starting at €649 (around £555/US$765) for 8GB RAM/256GB storage.

Mi 11 Pro prices (China only)

The Mi 11 Pro is only set to sell in China, where it’s available to pre-order with prices starting at ¥4999 (around £550/€645/US$760) for 8GB RAM/128GB storage.
